Norman H. Kirshman

Mr. Kirshman’s experience includes service as a military lawyer in the Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps of the United States Army; Attorney for the National Labor Relations Board; Corporate General Counsel; and private practice. His practice includes (i) representing employers in labor and employment litigation, including appellate proceedings, (ii) representation proceedings and unfair labor practice trials before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), (iii) collective bargaining negotiations, and (iv) arbitration.

Mr. Kirshman has taught courses in Labor Law, Administrative Law, Business Law, Transportation Law, Constitutional Law, Civil Procedure, Evidence, Corporations and Professional Responsibility. He is also an active participant and visiting professor for the Center for International Legal Studies. Mr. Kirshman represents employers in the defense of wrongful termination suits, based upon Title VII and related anti-discrimination statutes, and upon public policy violations.

Mr. Kirshman has authored many articles on Labor Relations and Employment law.

He has also been a contributing Editor to “The Developing Labor Law,” American Bar Association, and has lectured and written for continuing legal education programs.

SIGNIFICANT FORESEEABLE CHANGES IN UNITED STATES LABOR RELATIONS LAWS, MANAGEMENT PERSPECTIVE (June 2007) and APPLICATION OF TITLE VII AND OTHER ANTI-DISCRIMINATION LAWS TO EMPLOYEES OF U.S. COMPANIES WORKING OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES (December 2007).

Personal

Born, New York, New York Norm lives with his wife Carol in Las Vegas, Nevada, with their two French Bulldogs, Yoda and Zelda and a cat named Aldo. Together they have raised seven children. Norm is actively involved in swimming, skiing, tennis, and bike riding.
